Six free, ready-to-teach lesson plans built around the tools already on this site - no sign-up, no extra software, and every one of them works on a shared classroom screen or pupils' own devices.
The pack cover - each lesson gets its own page with timings, tags and a resource list.
The six lessons
-

A no-prep starter using our Higher or Lower game - pupils guess which of two foods travelled further on average, building a streak as they go.
-
#2Track Your Own Lunch
Pupils look up the real distance travelled by items from their own lunch using the calculator, recording results on the Food Miles Detective worksheet.
-
#3Compare Five Foods
A ranking activity: guess the order five foods travelled, then check the real distances on Browse All Foods.
-
#4Where Does Our Food Come From?
Built around our Interactive World Map - click any country on the big screen, then explore in pairs.
-
#5Working With Real Data
Practise averages, unit conversion and comparison using live figures from our Leaderboard - real visitor data, not textbook numbers.
-
#6Does It Actually Matter?
A discussion lesson weighing both sides using What Does The Research Actually Say? and Are Food Miles Still Relevant?.
Each lesson gets its own page, laid out starter/main/plenary with what you'll need.
Why we built this
The site's tools - the calculator, the Higher or Lower game, the world map, the leaderboard - already get used in classrooms regularly. This pack exists so a teacher doesn't have to build a lesson plan around them from scratch: each one has a clear objective, a timed structure, and exactly what you'll need, ready to teach with no extra prep beyond what's listed.
